Digital Maturity Auditing and Process Optimization is an intensive international Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) designed to develop advanced competencies in digital maturity auditing, end‑to‑end process analysis, and the design of digital transformation initiatives.

The programme combines analytical, research, and strategic approaches with hands‑on project work carried out in cooperation with real companies and industry experts from Lodz Special Economic Zone S.A.

Target Group

The programme is aimed at Bachelor’s and Master’s students, particularly from the fields of:

  • Management
  • Business and Data Analytics
  • Economics
  • Logistics
  • Business IT and Information Systems

It is intended for students interested in digitalisation, business process improvement, and consulting-oriented career paths.

Programme Objectives

During the programme, participants will:

  • conduct a digital maturity audit of selected business processes,
  • map end‑to‑end business processes and identify critical bottlenecks,
  • analyse technological gaps and business constraints,
  • define measurable business objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs),
  • design Minimal Viable Projects (MVPs) and define success conditions,
  • develop a digital transformation roadmap (Quick Wins, Core, Strategic initiatives),
  • prepare a professional management report and Executive Summary addressed to top management.

Teaching and Learning Methods

The programme is based on practice‑oriented and innovative teaching methods, including:

  • project hackathon,
  • workshops with industry and technology experts,
  • secondary data and document analysis,
  • development of professional research tools (interview guides, process templates),
  • business process mapping,
  • expert consultations with Łódź Special Economic Zone S.A.,
  • team‑based work on real business cases,
  • final board‑level presentation of results.

Programme Content

Key thematic areas include:

  • current digitalisation trends and the concept of digital maturity,
  • digital maturity frameworks and audit methodologies,
  • end‑to‑end business process mapping,
  • technological landscape analysis and gap assessment,
  • principles of digital strategy and ROI evaluation,
  • maturity scoring and business goal formulation,
  • recommendation workshops (“Top 3 Initiatives”),
  • preparation of a final report and executive‑level presentation.

Learning Outcomes

After completing the programme, students will be able to:

  • collect and analyse secondary company data and design professional research tools,
  • conduct a digital maturity audit of selected processes,
  • map end‑to‑end processes and identify operational bottlenecks,
  • analyse and score technological gaps and link them to business objectives,
  • define MVPs and KPIs through structured recommendation workshops,
  • develop a comprehensive digital transformation roadmap,
  • prepare an Executive Summary and a professional management report including risk assessment and expected business value.

  • Virtual component: 3 June 2026
    (e‑learning introduction, project guidelines, standards for research tools and reporting)
  • On‑site component: 8–12 June 2026
